In order to apply for University studies in Serbia, one has to complete 12 years of previous education, primary and secondary school.
Studying in Serbia
The admition for colleges/ faculties in Serbia is competition based and a student is ranked based on points earned at the entrance exam which are added to the points earned from previous education.
Every year, in accordance with the Ministry of Education, universities in Serbia open a certain number of places available for foreign students.
Your admition to the college of your choice, depends, as mentioned, on the rank you gained with your knowledge shown at the entrance exam and your marks earned through the last four years of your education.
Studying in Serbia can be in Serbian and in English language. Some Faculties have courses in both languages and some in Serbian language only. Whichever of the language option foreign students choose, they have to submit a prove of certain level of knowledge of Serbian or English language, required by the University minimum B2 level.
There are 2 types of studies in Serbia:
- ACADEMIC STUDIES
- PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
Academic Studies in Serbia are organized in 3 levels:
- Bachelor, 3-4 years
- Master, 1-2 years
- PhD, minimum 3 years
Tuition fees vary from college to college, starting from 1000 EUR to 7000 EUR, per academic year.
